Angela Summers is a freelance artist, illustrator, and muralist. She portrays St. Anthony's ideals through her art by illustrating the heart of St. Anthony's mission. Her colorful art career started at an LGBTQ greeting card company where she created card prototypes, and lead her to the Hospitality House Community Arts Program. Angela creates, volunteers, and frequently exhibits at CAP, and is well known amongst Tenderloin artists for her talent as well as her compassion. Angela is a full time creator and is inspired by everything around her, from scraps of paper to mannequin limbs.
Angela’s mural is titled Spring Hope. Of her piece, Angela says, “The woman is in a trance or meditative state with spring visions surrounding her. She is holding "HOPE" in one hand and pointing upward with a butterfly in the other hand.”
